JAMES HARRISON Devastating news to hear that James Harrison an official, athlete and committee member of Corstorphine AAC, sadly killed in a bike accident in Edinburgh which happened on Thursday morning. James was a valued member of the start team. All at the Forth Valley League send their deepest condolences to James’s wife, his two children, the rest of his family as well as all his colleagues and friends.Rest In Peace our friend.

FORTH VALLEY LEAGUE HAVE NO BARRIERS At the second match at Grangemouth the league trialled a light system for athletes with Impaired Hearing who compete in the league. As races are started with voice commands and then the gun, this is very difficult for hard of hearing athletes to respond in the same way and leaves them at a disadvantage over their competitors. It is with great sadness that we hear that a great friend and supporter of the Forth Valley League as well as his wonderful work with athletics coaching in Scotland, Brian Winning has passed away suddenly. Brian was always helpful to clubs and individuals as well as fellow coaches and his enthusiasm above all was felt by everyone.
